  • This slide show of pictures from Halloween was so much easier trying to blog all these snapshots and talk about each photo. The first couple of pictures I took of students that were showing off their costumes to me. I took advantage of it and snapped away. In the pictures is Ms. Wendy the other Lead Teacher/Supervisor I work with in room 4. Her daughter is Niki the Moon Goddess in white with her daughter, Kailynn who is also a fairy. Niki got a picture of June in our classroom. A lot of people liked June's Geisha Girl costume. One of my parents even took a picture of her. june got a picture of my back as I was helping with the 2 year olds in their room. In the last picture I can't tell who the 3 kids are on the left but the others are Andrew~Rylee~David~Maddox in the front is Kallie and Christienne. I will upload the one of me and June as soon as I get a copy.

This was our first Bite Of Las Vegas Event and it was so much fun! We'd hear about it every year on the radio but we were always to busy doing stuff that needed to get done. Last year's Bite Of Las Vegas Event we really wanted to go so bad and we ended up missing it. When Mix 94.1 started talking about this years Bite Of Las Vegas we decided that we will not miss this years big event. We made plans with Boona that we'd all go together since this will be her first time too. As you can see from this flyer I copied from the Mix 94.1 website all the cool bands and artists that performed that day. All these businesses were there with their delicious food and it was so cheap. We each brought a can of food to donate and so that we could only pay 7 bucks to get in. We finally made it to the park around 1pm. The first thing we did was buy Greek French Fries from Paymon's Mediterranean booth. The 3 of were so hungry that we bought 2 orders of the Greek French Fries for 4 bucks and they gave us so much that we could not even finish it. Boona bought an order of hummus & pita bread. The hummus was mildly spicy but good. We would of brought our own water but they didn't let you bring anything into the park that was in a bottle. None of us wanted soda so we bought 2 huge bottles of water. There was this huge tent set up with lots of chairs & tables which were already filled up. We did not know where to sit so I saw these chairs at this International Culinary Institute booth and decided that we should just sit so we can eat. It was a pretty hot day! Our backs were to the sun with just a little shade over our heads. After we ate we decided to walk around and check out the booths to see the different things they were giving out or selling.

  • Currently Listening
    Greatest Hits
By New Kids on the Block

    DSCN1574

Last night was a very special for me and June because ever since grade school we were so "in love" with New Kids On The Block. Growing up we bought t-shirts, pins, magazines and I'd cut their pictures out to make a scrapbook. I even begged my mom to let me join the NKOTB Fan Club. It was just a few months ago, June & I were thinking how cool it would be if NKOTB did come back. We honestly never thought in a million years that they would do a reunion album and tour. When we started hearing about them. June & I knew we had to go to their concert here in Vegas. As soon as we heard a date for when they started selling the tickets. I marked my calendar right away. I wasn't going to buy their Greatest Hits album but then I thought about it. If I don't buy it, how am I going to listen to their old songs. I am so happy I bought it. Now I just have to buy their new album The Block. My friend, Heidi she use to work with me at the daycare not to long ago. It was her mom who had a friend that worked at a sister company of the Mandalay Bay. I didn't think we'd get the other 2 tickets. She was dating this guy and so the tickets would go to him and the other 2 would go to Elissa (her sister) & her husband. That all changed when Heidi broke up with the guy after a couple of weeks we started talking about the concert. So, she offered the tickets to me and June for a hundred something for each ticket. Which is still a deal because the floor seats were 107 bucks online. Saturday is the big event we finally woke up at 8am and not 7 like we planned to. I was doing laundry, my dad bought this whole new bedroom set at this liquidation place down the street. One of the night stands fit at the end of June's bed. The furniture is from hotels that were torn down and they needed to sell everything. It looks alright I guess. I prepared my purse, charged my camera with extra batteries the night before and I picked 2 different outfits in case I don't like the other one. Then I had to get some stuff so I went out for just 30 minutes. My friend, Heidi has no patience for waiting at all. I felt some what guilty of not being on time. But I knew we were early and that it would be all right. She did make a remark on how she and Elissa (her sister) were waiting for like 10 minutes in the driveway. When I didn't ask her to or anything. We planned to leave the house earlier or at 5pm to go pick them up. Finally making it to Heidi's mom house and we were 15 minutes late. But it was good that we decided to get going early so we wouldn't hit traffic. We were going to eat Applebee's but our time got cut short so we had Burger King instead. This one was across the Boulevard Mall, and the service was soooo sloooow. The staff that made Elissa's burger messed up and put cheese when she asked them not too. That's not a good one to go too for those of you who live in Vegas.  I started to tear up as I took the next couple of pictures. I could not believe that we are actually seeing them after how many years. It was such an AWESOME concert! They literally "blew my mind away" at how great, wonderful, amazing, unbelievable it was to finally see them live. Every song they sang the audience stood up through the whole concert. Everyone was singing their songs especially their old songs from back in the day. OMG, I must of screamed a hundred times through each song. They did sing all of their songs and also changed outfits a couple of times. Now you believe me how AWESOME this concert started out!! These pictures were just the good ones I picked to put up on here. That was just the opening of the concert. Don't they look soooooo good! Wait until you see Jordan with his shirt unbutton. I'm sure I speak for every woman at that concert that was drooooling as his wonderful "6 pack"!!! I will upload more pictures on my photos.
